The Mace Head Research
Facility
Although the Atmospheric Research Group is based in the
Department of Experimental Physics at NUI, Galway, most
of the experimental research work is carried out at the group's
research facility located at Mace Head, near Carna, Co. Galway on
the west coast of Ireland. This section provides some information

EUSAAR Transnational Access |
| Within the 6th Framework Programme
of the European Commission, EUSAAR (EUropean Supersites for Atmospheric
Aerosol Research) offers transnational access to the Mace Head
research facility. |

| For the period April 1st 2006
through March 31st 2011, Mace Head is one of eleven
research stations providing opportunities to research teams from
European member or associated states to obtain access for the
study of atmospheric aerosols. |
